The Achievement Award is the highest honor bestowed by the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association. Since its creation in 1960, the Achievement Award has been presented 24 times.

Joseph E. Stevens Aspire to Excellence Award
The Judge Joseph E. Stevens Aspire to Excellence Award was first presented at the 1999 KCMBA Annual Meeting. The award was created as a memorial to the late Judge of the US District Court, Western District of Missouri, to honor his dedication to the bench and the bar in the metropolitan area.
